A lovely couple in the fortified city

Uplifting rock'n'roll music and a big smile on my face accompanied me on the way to Monemvasia. The first weddings of the season always remind me why I love my job as a wedding photographer. It's because being part of other people's happiness is priceless.

When I reached the iconic castle town in Peloponnese, I was sure this wedding would be a fantastic warm-up for the entire summer. Guests arrived in Monemvasia from all over the world. Aliki is a Greek-American comedian, and Kiril comes from Serbia. The charming couple resides in the United States, and their wedding in the fortified Greek town created quite some buzz!

It was heart-warming to be surrounded by people in such a good mood. Aliki's preparation took place at the beautiful Lazareto Hotel, one of the most romantic spots in mainland Greece. Aliki and Kiril walked the cobblestone streets of Monemvasia separately until they reached the impressive Panagia Chrysafitissa church. But they were not alone on this walk: friends and relatives accompanied them with the melodies of traditional Greek instruments in the background.

One can never have enough of Lazareto, and that's why the newlyweds hosted their wedding party at its premises. A candle-lit dinner for all the guests under the stunning rock of Monemvasia was followed by an incredible night, where everybody danced until the early morning. What a wedding!
