Lebanese Wedding in Nafplio
Ghinwa & Roger
Lebanese Wedding Photography in Nafplio
Let it rain...
The wedding of Ghinwa and Roger in Nafplio was one of the most memorable ceremonies I've ever captured. Shooting a moody wedding in Greece might sound odd to some: one always expects clear skies and the sea's blue. However, that's not always the case. Yes, it might be rare, but hosting an autumn wedding in Greece is definitely unique!
Ghinwa and Roger are a beautiful Lebanese couple living permanently in France. Instead of choosing a Greek island, the couple decided to get married on the fertile soil of Argolis, in the historic seaside city of Nafplio. Ghinwa and Roger hosted the ceremony and their wedding party under the olive trees at the elegant Opera Country Living. Everything took place at the estate's premises -even the couple's preparation- creating a cozy atmosphere.
Since this was a late September wedding in Nafplio, it meant that rain was just around the corner. Heavy clouds painted the sky since early morning, but this didn't ruin anyone's mood. On the contrary, it contributed to the vibrant ambiance. The couple's international guests well-received even the sudden storm that lasted just a few minutes. In fact, it was a fun moment to see everyone searching for beach towels to cover themselves!
As you can see in the photos, the moody atmosphere is everywhere. However, despite being an autumn wedding, the party had an awesome vibe! Fully adapted to Greek rituals, the couple broke plates and danced the night away!
